Join Us for Northwest University’s Family Weekend on October 28 and 29

You and your family are invited to join us here at Northwest University for the 2016 Family Weekend on October 28 and 29. This is a great opportunity to see a glimpse into the life of your NU student, meet with other parents, participate in student activities, and leave feeling encouraged.

Family Weekend Schedule

Friday

*Events happening before 3:00 p.m. on Friday are pre-check-in events...optional for the family!

9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Shop at the Eagle Exchange to pick up the latest NU gear. Location: Davis Building

10:00 a.m. and 11:20 a.m.
Join us for a time of worship in Chapel! Location: NU Butterfield Chapel.

11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Enjoy lunch with students in our newly remodeled Caf! ($5.75 per person).

2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Stop by our Hospitality/Check-in table for coffee, tea, and a weekend schedule. Meet and greet with other families! Location: Fireside Room, Argue HSC Building.

3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Go back to school! Parents are invited to sit in on a lecture given by one of our faculty members, Dr. Sarah Drivdahl. Location: Argue HSC 104.

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Enjoy dinner in the Caf or a fun night out in beautiful downtown Kirkland at one of our local restaurants. (Caf $6.25 per person)

7:00 p.m.
Volleyball Match, NU vs. Evergreen State College. Free admission. Location: NU Pavilion.

8:00 p.m.
Sibling sleepover (same-gender only). Make sure to RSVP beforehand. More information to come!

Saturday

9:00 a.m. 
Gather together to watch our students in a co-ed flag football game. Donuts and coffee provided! Location: NU soccer field

10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Enjoy brunch together in our newly remodeled Caf or at one of our local Kirkland restaurants. (Caf $6.75 per person).

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
This time belongs to you in beautiful Kirkland. Visit a local pumpkin patch or walk along the Kirkland waterfront. Feel free to explore!

1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Eagles Got Talent. Don’t miss your chance to see our student talent show performed by the Freshman Class Council. Location: NU Butterfield Chapel.

2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Family Fall Festival will be an event you don’t want to miss! NU giveaways and fall festivities. Location: Fireside Room, Argue HSC Building.

5:00 p.m.
The rest of the evening belongs to you! Enjoy a fun night out at one of our local Kirkland restaurants.

There are no more university-sponsored events, after this point we encourage you to spend the rest of the weekend with your student and family!
