NU Announces Tuition Freeze
For over eighty years Northwest University has upheld a Christ-centered commitment to spiritual vitality, academic excellence, and empowered engagement with human need. Pursuing a bright and promising future together, NU is announcing innovative career-ready degree programs at an exceptional value.
TUITION FREEZE
Northwest University is freezing tuition for all bachelor’s degree programs at our Kirkland campus for the 2021–2022 academic year. NU has always offered outstanding educational value. NU’s tuition will remain competitively priced at $33,500, with room and board rates that provide great value too. NU’s total costs are thousands less than other regional private Christian universities.
This year, NU was again recognized as a Best Value institution in the Regional Universities West list by U.S. News and World Report. NU has moved steadily higher in the rankings from 27 in 2019 to 14 in 2021. The status of being a Best Value College is determined by the academic quality of the programs and a low net cost for attendance.
FUTURE FOCUSED ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
NU launched three new programs in 2020. The Creatio Center for Technology, Media, and Design introduced new majors in UX Design, Audio Production, and Video Production. Additional new technology programs in Data Science and Computer Science will begin in Fall 2021. NU continues to add programs in new and growing fields.
GENEROUS SCHOLARSHIPS
Northwest provides extensive scholarship opportunities to assist students and families. In addition to academic, talent, and other scholarship opportunities, NU is offering an increased Visit Scholarship of $1,000 to any Kirkland undergraduate prospective student that tours campus with Admissions before March 15, 2021. To support the university’s mission to train ministry students, NU launched the Empowering the Future initiative in 2019, a program that reduces tuition by 50% for all undergraduate ministry majors in the College of Ministry. While official financial aid packages are provided only to accepted students, NU’s net price calculator can help all students and families plan for the future by generating estimates of actual costs.
UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO CHRISTIAN VALUES
Northwest University’s commitment to training Christian leaders is stronger than ever. NU refuses to compromise on the Christ-centered values that anchor the institution since its founding in 1934. All staff and faculty at NU are Christians and teach their classes from a biblical worldview. Northwest University looks optimistically to a bright future for students and graduates, guided by our faith together. Altogether, we hope the combination of a tuition freeze and robust scholarships make pursuing an exceptional educational experience at NU all the more possible.
