From April 15 to 17, 2020, Northwest University, located at 5520 108th Ave NE, Kirkland, Washington with an additional site in Brooks, Oregon, will host evaluators selected by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), our regional accreditor. This evaluation visit is part of a regular 7-year cycle of self-assessment and peer-evaluation undergone by all regionally accredited universities.

Northwest University received initial accreditation in 1973, and as of our last evaluation in 2017, is accredited to offer associate, bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees. Northwest University is compliant with the Standards, Policies and Eligibility Requirements of the NWCCU and has no public sanctions.

As part of the 7-year evaluation, interested parties are invited to send comments directly to the NWCCU for consideration with regard to Northwest University’s qualification for continued accreditation. Signed comments will be forwarded as received, to the institution, evaluation committee, and the NWCCU staff and must be received no later than March 15, 2020. Comments can be mailed to the NWCCU, 8060 165th Avenue NE, Redmond, WA 98052. Questions can be directed to NWCCU personnel at 425-558-4224.

To obtain a copy of the NWCCU’s Policy on Public Notification and Third Party Comments Regarding Full-Scale Evaluations, view the website (www.nwccu.org, click on Accreditation, then Standards and Policies, followed by the Policies link), or contact the Commission office at 425-558-4224.
