Northwest University Ranked #7 Christian College in the West
Christian Universities Online ranked Northwest University among the West’s 25 best Christian colleges for 2017. At number seven, NU ranked ahead of schools like Seattle Pacific and Biola. Rankings were based on the following criteria: faculty-to-student ratio, scholarships, selectivity, retention rate, and graduation rate.
The article praised Northwest University for its incredible location. Not only is Kirkland surrounded by natural beauty, but it’s also neighbor to some of the nation’s most successful businesses, including Google, Microsoft, Boeing, and Amazon.
Christian Colleges Online also commended Northwest’s dedication to a personalized education. With a student-to-faculty ratio of 10 to 1, students don’t just learn from their professors—they build relationships. The article goes on to highlight some of our top programs, including nursing, psychology, business, and pastoral ministries. It also points out that while a Northwest University education is highly valuable, it’s also affordable, as 96 percent of students receive financial aid.
Another area where Northwest stands out is in its dedication to Christ. Founded by the Northwest Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God in 1934 and originally named the Northwest Bible Institute, Northwest University still embodies the same Christian principles, with a mission statement to “carry the call of God by continually building a learning community dedicated to spiritual vitality, academic excellence, and empowered engagement with human need.”
Northwest’s location, academic excellence, and genuine dedication to the things of God makes it one of the top Christian schools not just in the West, but in the entire nation.
