Pentecostal Lectureship Series
The "Pentecostal Lectureship Series" is an annual event hosted by Northwest University. The purpose of the Lectureship Series is to introduce the Northwest University community to some of the most creative thinkers within the Pentecostal movement and to issues and topics that are important to the continuing vitality of Pentecostalism. A principal aim of the Lectureship Series is to support and cultivate the distinctive Pentecostal identity of Northwest University. In past years lectures have been given by such notable figures as James K. A. Smith, Amos Yong, Anthea Butler, and Steven J. Land. The director of the "Pentecostal Lectureship Series" is Dr. Blaine Charette.
Dr. Chris Green was the invited lecturer for the 2022 series. The theme for the series was Can Beauty Save the World?
Chris E. W. Green is Professor of Public Theology at Southeastern University (Lakeland, Florida) and Teaching Pastor at Sanctuary Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He and his wife Julie live in Tulsa with their kids: Zoë, Clive, and Emery, and their Weimaraner Augustine. His most recent book is All Things Beautiful: An Aesthetic Christology (Baylor University Press, 2021).
