Brian Armes is a director, writer, actor, and producer. He has directed short narratives, music videos, documentaries, and a period adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth currently in post-production. Additionally, he has overseen production, consulted, acted, and crewed on independent and studio features, short films, national commercials, and web series.
He holds degrees from Taylor University and The American Film Institute Conservatory where he studied with D.C. Fontana (Star Trek) and Neil Canton (Back to the Future). He has taught directing, acting, writing, and producing classes at Eastern Kentucky University, the Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati, the University of North Georgia, and Taylor University.
Many of Brian's students have received regional awards, advanced film degrees, and employment in the film & entertainment industry. His War of 1812 screenplay, We Have Met the Enemy was a Quarter-finalist in the ScreenCraft True Story & Public Domain competition, and his noir screenplay, Watch Me, was a Quarter-Finalist in the Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Competition.
Brian has also directed and performed in stage productions and musical ensembles; he is currently the Director of Worship and Music at North Creek Presbyterian Church in Mill Creek, WA.
