Gary and Teresa Gillespie Scholarship

Gary and Teresa Gillespie

Gary Gillespie was a faculty member who taught speech and communication courses at Northwest University from 1985 until his retirement in 2016. He developed the Communications Major and also started the debate team. Teresa began teaching law and business courses as an adjunct faculty member in 2000. She was Dean of the College of Business from 2008 to 2020. She expanded options for business majors, increased enrollment in the MBA Program and led the College in its secondary accreditation with the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs. Together, the Gillespies represent over 50 years of service to the University.

The Gillespie Scholarship seeks to provide support to Northwest University students with a preference given to those majoring in Business or Communications.
