Charting the Future: Kameron Goetz
I write to you from South Korea after having visited Indonesia and Singapore on this two-week recruiting trip to Asia. It has been a pleasure meeting with Northwest University alumni who are serving God and succeeding in their careers halfway around the world. What a trip! Last week I met with leaders of churches in the middle of red-hot revivals, with thousands of young people serving God with unbounded enthusiasm and zeal. This week I will offer a response to an academic paper on revival and the next generation, presented by a Latin American pastor and scholar from Colombia at the Pentecostal World Conference in Seoul.
I have to confess, traveling to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8) has only increased my desire to see the Holy Spirit unleash a mighty wave of grace at home on our campus. One of these days I’ll undoubtedly want to send you a video of the far-flung testimonies I have enjoyed, but today, I want to share the story of a recent graduate student who now works in my own office. All I have to do to hear his story is walk out into the hall, but it is a world-class testimony!
Grads like Kameron Goetz represent the heart of what we have been doing at Northwest University for 88 years, raising up the next generation of Christian leaders with fire in their hearts, depth in their intellect, and integrity in their behavior. I could look around the world—and indeed I did—but I wouldn’t find a better story to share with you than this one.
Thanks for your faithful support of Northwest University and our mission!
