For Students
Get a Head Start on College
You’re already taking the class—why not get college credit while doing so?
The Concurrent Credit program at Northwest University (NU) is a partnership between your high school and NU that offers you the opportunity to earn college credit while still enrolled in high school.

The program allows you to:
- Graduate from high school with both a high school diploma and a college transcript.
- Receive a college-level, quality education from NU-approved high school instructors without leaving your high school.
- Get a feel for the rigor of college coursework and learn how to succeed when you move on to college or university.

Grades
Students enrolling in Concurrent Credit courses obtain both high school and college credit for the courses. Courses are graded on the “A” through “F” scale.
Transferring Credits
Northwest University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, at the same level as all major universities such as the University of Washington and Washington State University.
Requesting a Transcript
Information on how to request an Official Transcript from Northwest University can be found on the Registrar’s Office page.
Cost
Save money on tuition and textbooks by taking a Concurrent Credit course. The Concurrent Credit fee is $55 per credit ($165 per three-credit course). Most classes are three or four credits each.
I appreciate that I can receive college credit for doing work that has already been implemented into the curriculum.
