 Abby W.

Abby W.

NUhope Student Therapist

Abby is passionate about creating a supportive therapeutic space where clients can feel heard, valued, and empowered. She believes that healing happens through connection and authenticity, and she approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and compassion. Whether clients are navigating stress, identity questions, life transitions, or deeper emotional pain, Abby seeks to meet them where they are and walk alongside them as they pursue growth and balance.

Before beginning her graduate training, Abby worked in higher education and served as an emergency dispatcher—roles that deepened her empathy and strengthened her ability to remain grounded in high-pressure situations. These experiences have given her a unique perspective on stress, trauma, and resilience, and they continue to shape her clinical approach as she supports clients from all walks of life.

Education

Abby earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from George Fox University and is currently pursuing her doctorate in counseling psychology at Northwest University. She receives regular supervision from licensed psychologists and values collaborative feedback and lifelong learning in her work as a clinician.

Special Interests

Outside of the therapy room, Abby enjoys being near water—whether it's paddleboarding on the lake, walking along the beach, or finding a quiet spot to read. She also loves spending time playing sports, learning new board games with friends, and trying new baking recipes (with mixed results). On rainy days, you can often find her curled up with a memoir or listening to countless podcasts.
