 Garrison I.

Garrison I.

NUhope Student Therapist

He is currently working as a student therapist at NUHope. He has weekly supervision to ensure he can provide the best services for his clients while gaining valuable experience through mentorship. As a NUhope student therapist, his aim is to offer evidence-based individual and couple therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, marital/couples problems, or family problems.

Education

Garrison is a graduate-level student in the clinical mental health counseling program at Northwest University and is set to graduate in May of 2026. He has weekly supervision to ensure that he can provide the best services for the clients he sees, while he gains the much-needed experience through mentorship during this year of training.

Special Interests

Running, music, and games are Garrison’s top three hobbies outside of work and study. Growing up in a small town in southern Oregon, he fell in love with running the countless miles of gravel roads that were found just outside his childhood home. Running has continued to blossom into something that he cherishes to this day. He finds music to be a place where he can both express and experience the broad spectrum of feeling. For him, simply plucking away on his acoustic guitar is cathartic. And on the opposite side of creating music, listening to it has always felt incredibly restful. Socially, he has been intrigued by various board games like Chess or card games like Magic. Those two games have given him a lively social outlet that he is undoubtedly grateful for and keeps coming back to in competition.
