Intensive English Program
In the CELE program, students take intensive English courses to strengthen their English speaking, listening, reading, writing, and pronunciation skills. The CELE program gives students confidence in their English skills, whether they desire to use them for business, travel, conversation, or to become a traditional undergraduate or graduate student. Students who have conditional admission into a Northwest degree program and who pass CELE exit exams are not required to take an additional English proficiency score (TOEFL).
Students may join the Intensive English Program year-round:
- Fall semester: August—December (15 weeks)
- Spring semester: January—May (15 weeks)
