Admissions
Northwest University was founded by the Northwest Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God and opened to students on October 1, 1934 in Seattle, Washington. It is a regionally accredited, Christian coeducational institution awarding associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees. With its main campus now located in Kirkland, Washington, the University has an extension campus in Salem (OR), and programs functioning in a growing number of churches through the Northwest Partnership Program.
In 2008 Northwest University merged with an independent institution, Salem Bible College, which had been founded in 1988. The immediate benefits of the merger included: a new location, the highest level of accreditation (regional), and federal financial aid. Northwest University Oregon has continued to prepare students for their future pursuits. We’re excited to say that NU Oregon graduates and former students are engaged in full-time Christian service in ministry, professional, and vocational occupations, throughout the Pacific Northwest and around the world.
NU Oregon enjoys a strong partnership with the Oregon Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God (oregonag.org).
