Staying the Course: Healing the Sick

In the series of videos I have been sending you lately on how Northwest University is staying the course as we chart our future, I recently spoke about our commitment to training ministers. As we move into the future, we are committed to a Fourfold Focus: Training Gospel Ministers, Healing the Sick, Creating Wealth through Business, and Making Technologies that will define the Future. In the attached video, I talk about our future commitment to educating healthcare professionals.

We have long distinguished ourselves in that area through our outstanding Buntain College of Nursing and through our well-developed program in Counseling Psychology. More recently, we have added a program in Exercise Science as a prelude to careers in physical therapy. The next steps for us are the development of a School of Physical Therapy and a School of PA Medicine. Both of these fields are severely underserved across the nation, and our missional commitment to “empowered engagement with human need” has driven us to hire deans and begin developing those programs. We’re excited about our future in providing healthcare professionals.

In the video, you will hear about the spiritual and theological commitment to healthcare that undergirds our efforts.
