Using Inertia to Pump Water
Yuri Semenyuk, a Northwest University graduate who earned a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins, explained how ground pumps can use inertia instead of fossil fuels or electricity to pump water. Yuri used this technology working with “Engineers Without Borders” in South Africa. He was the guest lecturer in the Master of Arts in Social Entrepreneurship program at Northwest University.
