Program and Curriculum
The program is designed for maximum flexibility and focuses on practical research skills. Being fully online and asynchronous, students are able to fit their coursework into their schedule when it works for them. By only taking one course at a time, students are able to focus on the current material. Some programs include a strong emphasis on theories with minimal “real-world” skills gained. The MSDARP program addresses tangible research skills including study design, analysis procedures, and report creation.
No, an internship experience is not part of the program.
Yes, students in the doctoral prep track will complete a thesis involving original research. The program evaluation track includes a capstone project. The research analytics track does not.
It is advised to select a concentration by the end of the students’ second semester.

Balancing Life and Graduate School
Yes, the program is year-round including Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Periodic one week breaks in between terms occur throughout (e.g., Christmas break).
A graduate program is a significant undertaking and applicants should carefully consider how the program will “fit” into their life and current responsibilities. The program has been designed for flexibility and the possibility of working while pursing the degree.
The program is asynchronous, and students may complete coursework around their own schedule. Students should anticipate weekly assignments and readings.
Students should expect to spend around 20 to 25 hours per week reading, studying, and completing assignments.
Admissions and Program Logistics
15 to 20 students are admitted per year to ensure a low student faculty ratio.
The program does not contain electives; however, the possibility of taking extra courses may be discussed with your faculty advisor.
